A formal approach to movement
Une lecture formelle du mouvement

Whether in her interactive urban installation Upstream, which questions how we move collectively through daily life, or in urban dances that embody a boldly individual form of expression, Isabelle observes movement through an analytical lens.

In Upstream, she deconstructs urban flows into observable units—trajectories, rhythms, densities—revealing the invisible choreographies of routine. Urban dance forms like breaking or krumping, by contrast, are radically personal, yet Isabelle maintains the same analytical rigor, decoding angles, breaks, repetitions, energy.

This duality reveals her consistent approach: whether functional or expressive, movement becomes a physical language worthy of formal study, transforming the ephemeral into material for thought.
